About the Hiram Award
The Hiram Award is a distinguished California Masonic honor recognizing a Master Mason for devoted service to his Lodge and to the Masonic Fraternity. Under the California Masonic Code, the award is intended for a member who has served his Lodge and Masonry with devotion beyond the ordinary. The award is based on what the recipient has done rather than simply on the offices he has held.
The Grand Lodge of California describes the Hiram Award as the highest honor for service that a Constituent Lodge can bestow upon one of its members. The award reflects the esteem, respect, and admiration of a Mason's peers.
