We're Growing and We've Got Momentum - It's an exciting time to be a part of Las Palmas Ponderosa Lodge. We've got all sorts of new young guys joining, eager to be a part of something big! Our degree mill is humming, and we're getting physically active. It's about our lives, it's about our families, it's about making good men better!

The purpose of this website is to communicate with all brothers and families associated with the Las Palmas - Ponderosa Masonic Lodge No. 366 in Fresno, California, and allow perspective members to better understand our organization.

Our web site has been growing; we are adding more information about Masonry for those interested in joining, and expanding our educational area and resources for our new members. Plus we are getting ready to enhance our historical pages for folks who are interested in Fresno history, and persons looking for genealogical information.

To accommodate this growth, we have added a sub-navigation bar to help visitors quickly access information. The top navigation bar will guide you to general areas of the web site. The black middle navigation bar (just below the splash) will give you choices in a specific section.

Did you go some place exciting; a far-off land, an exotic island; maybe Pismo Beach? If you've got some great pictures, and/or a funny story to go with them, e-mail the pictures with an explanation to the Lodge Secretary. We'll put your adventure in the upcoming Trestleboard. It's a great way to share your travels with other members of the Lodge, and a fun thing to do after a long summer!

Lodge Elections - We're not talking national politics; we're talking about who's running Las Palmas Ponderosa Lodge. If you want to have a say and make a difference, then be sure to attend both the November and December stated meetings. See the calendar for the dates.

2008 Dinner Auction - Thank you to all Las Palmas Ponderosa Masons and their wives for helping to make the 2008 Fresno Scottish Rite Language Disorders Center Dinner Auction a big success. We hope to see you next year!

Busy November Schedule - We still have got a lot of work ahead of us over the next two months, with second and third degree ceremonies. So keep an eye on the calendar!

Christmas Tree Lane Walk - December 10th is the night of the annual walk down Van Ness Avenue in Fresno to view all the beautiful Christmas decorations. We are hoping to have a booth along the walk to provide Child ID's and information about Masonry. Come out and join us for the fun as we sing Carols of the Season and sip on hot chocolate. More information to come!

Our Trestleboard Snail Mail is Shrinking - We have dropped from 739 mailings to 664, and 85 people have elected to receive the Trestleboard via e-mail to help the lodge reduce communication costs. See how you can help!

Dues are Due - The 2009 dues notice was sent out on Oct 1. Dues are $101.00 for the coming year. Thank you to the brothers who were very prompt about their response. For the rest of us mere mortals, we have until December 31st to make our annual contribution.

Lodge Committees Being Formed - Has it been awhile since you've been involved with helping at the Lodge? Are you a fairly new member looking to get more involved? Committee work is a great way to better know your brothers and get involved with lodge leadership. Call the Lodge Secretary if you would like to learn what committees are needing manpower.

Photo Gallery - The Las Palmas-Ponderosa website now has a photo gallery for the purpose of sharing current and historical events. Over time, we will build the gallery, especially as old pictures are discovered, and new pictures come in. Learn how you can contribute your personal Masonic pictures to the gallery. The Gallery menu item is now located on the middle black navigation bar.

We are Looking for Pictures - Do you have old pictures of Masonic events or people from yesteryear? The Las Palmas Ponderosa Lodge Historians would like to hear from you. Pictures from the 1930's to the 1950's are most desired, especially from the old lodge building in downtown Fresno. If you suspect that you might be sitting on a treasure trove of pictures, please call the Lodge Secretary at 268-2303, so we can make arrangements with you to review the photographs and make a digital image.
