Below are pictures from Highway 140 in California, along the Merced River to the Arch Rock entrance to Yosemite National Park. According to the locals, the wildflowers were the best in 25 years. As the photographer traveled deeper into the steep river canyons leading to the park, the wildflowers (mainly California Golden Poppies) became more intense.
